leigh_burton. I was forced to start a livejournal, though not by Leigh. Actually I wasn't forced, but this LJ page was created for me by a certain someone who felt my life needed a little blogging :)
I'm a social worker by trade and a potter by passion. Astrologically, I am a Gemini and that should should speak volumes about the type of person that I am (hey don't be so quick to judge a book by it's cover). I am 32 flavors and then some. I can be a ball of creativity and when tapped will lock myself in my room and write and write and write (one of these days I will finish my book!) On the other hand I can be a slug, cynical and stubborn -- a right pain in the arse. I will always be forever patient.
I see myself as somewhat of a tree hugging hippy and my politics lean left though I don't view myself as ultra liberal. I believe in equality for all and I view mankind as having the potential for good. Having said that I realize that there are plenty of baddies out there . . . and it's not my personal mission in life to see that they find their way. I believe in Karma, what comes around goes around. The universe is a powerful force and it's up to us as individuals to make of it what we will.
I'm a cinema buff, a music lover, a fan of art and a steady reader of books --
I love my beer, rather my ales and ultimately my dream is to one day open an English pub and brew my own ale. Any financial investors willing to take a chance on this Russian girl?
I greatly value, appreciate and am grateful for my friends, my family and of course for the man in my life, whom I would put the world on pause for and whom I will love until the end of days.
